Firstly, thank you for stopping by and checking out my website. It turns out that this here is just the second post of Clare’s Weekly, 2022 edition. Once again, it’s to the editorial section, whilst I work on the design and functionality of the design and the “back-end” of the website.
It is my intention to build Clare’s Weekly into not just a blog, but a genuinely positive and fascinating lifestyle magazine, which, as you can see by our topics in the menu above, breaks the golden rule of finding one targeted niche and sticking to it.
It’s quite the undertaking, and I am committed to making it happen.
However, in setting everything up, working with WordPress, fiddling with design, templates, etc, the process thus far has taken a lot longer than I initally expected. You see, years ago, I used to enjoy web design, and development, and made some decent money doing so.
This is most certainly no longer the case. I don’t care for spending hours on end playing with PHP code, as well as working on aesthetics, and wearing out my patience in the meantime. In terms of writing, and the future of Clare’s Weekly, my enthusiasm is still way up there in getting this up and running properly — with properly being the operative word. Currently, it’s just me working on this project, using a self-hosted server, an array of WordPress builders and plugins, some of which I will write about in the tech section. But this, so far, has been so more complicated than writing articles.
I honestly do love to write, otherwise I wouldn’t be launching a blog. I have to take my time with this. I mean, a literally must, because whilst working on this site over the last two or so weeks, I’ve neglected my number one passion, my primary ambition.
I am a singer. My number one priority is to make music. To produce really good stuff. To not only complete my EP, but also put out music on the regular in the meantime. I simply won’t be able to give this blog or my music the justice they both deserve if I attempt to multitask the two.
I would like to be able to give you a date on when Clare’s Weekly will be posting weekly, but that’s just imposing a deadline where a deadline doesn’t need to be.
The Weekly will come to fruition organically. I’m not going to force it. When we are up and running, you’ll be the first to know about it.
Thank you for reading,
